Dealing with a debilitating health issue can feel overwhelming, often leaving us emotionally, physically, and spiritually exhausted. Pain, uncertainty, and the limitations illness brings can shake even the strongest of us to our core. Yet, as believers in Christ, we have a hope that transcends our suffering. Faith in Christ gives us a foundation to stand on, even in the darkest valleys. Lately, I’ve been in the valley. And though it can be frustrating at times, I also feel so close to God right now. My faith is stronger than ever as I eagerly await the manifestation of my physical healing.

Are you like me awaiting your healing? While we are waiting, we are building endurance. Miriam-Webster defines endurance as remaining firm under suffering or misfortune without yielding. And while it may not feel good to the flesh to have to endure, endurance enables you to stand when the winds of life blow.  Endurance is cultivated through adversity. Endurance is strengthened through affliction.

The trials you’ve experienced in life are the very raw materials that are being used to build your endurance for such a time as this. So when the doctor tells you that your diagnosis is incurable, you don’t have to lose heart for you will endure. When you’ve exhausted all the traditional means of healing like the woman with the issue of blood, you have the ability to still press into Jesus for a touch knowing you will endure. And not only are you enduring, God will equip you to endure health challenges with grace.

Let me encourage your heart today. Head on over HERE to iBelieve where I am sharing 5 tips that are working to help me endure amid these health challenges.
