“See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?” Isaiah 43:19
There’s something undeniably sacred about spring. After all, it is the true New Year on God’s calendar. As barrenness gives rise to budding, the once-hardened ground and desolate trees spring forth with life. Dormant seeds awaken, stretching toward the sun, all a beautiful reminder that what once seemed dead can be bought back to life.
This season is a holy reminder that our God wired into creation the ability for things to be made new and friend, that includes you and me so let us gear up and behold His power to make ALL things new!
As I arise each morning and gaze out my window my eyes land on the sloping hill opposite my home. This hill and the trees behind it serve as a striking reminder of renewal. That hill tells of winter’s harshness and of spring’s hope. As this hill and the trees beyond it experience their physical transformation, I’m reminded that God continually invites me into a spiritual one. And right now God is whispering to my soul, “You can begin again. Be renewed”
What Is Renewal
No matter what this past season held for you, whether it was weariness, uncertainty or a sense of being stuck, I want to invite you into the God whisper of “You can begin again. Be renewed”
His promises still stands, “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” 2 Corinthians 5:17
God can restore what’s been broken, renew what’s grown dull and breathe new life into what feels dead.
Let me just interject here for a moment to clarify what renewal is NOT. Renewal is not one more thing to do. Renewal is not about striving. Renewal is not about your efforts. Renewal is about surrendering to the One who waters your soul, renews your mind and feeds your spirit. Renewal is about trusting that He is walking with you through each season of life and sloughing off “the old” you’ve picked up along the way. It is about coming out of hibernation so that you can experience and enjoy the fullness of all that this current season of life has to offer.
Renewal means:
- Letting go of what no longer serves your health, peace, and purpose
- Making space for joy, rest, and clarity
- Allowing your body to heal, your mind to reset, and your spirit to be refreshed by abiding in Him
God’s Promise to You
You were never meant to live in a constant state of depletion. God desires wholeness for you mind, body, and spirit. Through Christ, you’ve been given access to a renewal that runs deeper than a new routine or a fresh to-do list. This is the kind of renewal that restores your soul and rewrites your story. After all, it’s why Jesus came.
The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. John 10:10
The “old” may look like fear, burnout, shame, or feeling invisible. But in Him, you are made new. Every day. Every season.
3 Simple Ways to Be Made New This Spring
1. Abide In Him
Begin each morning by anchoring your heart in His presence. Whether it’s through prayer, worship, or reading a verse like Lamentations 3:23 — “His mercies are new every morning” — let that truth set the tone for your day.
2. Nourish Your Temple
As you clean out your pantry and freshen your home, consider what your body needs to thrive. Choose life-giving foods. Move your body with joy. Rest when needed. Your physical renewal is sacred, too.
3. Release and Receive
What do you need to release? Bitterness? Busyness? Comparison? Hand it over to God. Then ask: “Lord, what would You have me receive in this season?” Trust that He’s making room for something better.
Don’t Bloom Alone
When I think of renewal it calls to mind my annual spring visit to the botanical gardens. Right around Mother’s Day I love going to see the azalea’s in full bloom. This garden boast THOUSANDS of azalea’s ablaze in whites, pinks, purples, oranges and more. If it were just one bush it might not be so impressive but these azaleas aren’t blooming alone. The sheer volume of them makes it an astounding sight to behold.
And here at Inspired Life, I believe healing and renewal are best nurtured in community. You were never meant to walk this journey alone. So whether through one of my coaching programs, the Living Fully Bookclub, my retreat or simply following me on social, I’m here to walk with you.
This April, I invite you to pause, breathe, and lean into the truth that Shamma is near. He sees what’s been withering and He’s ready to bring it back to life.
Because with God,
✨ Nothing is too far gone.
✨ Nothing is too late.
✨ He has the power to make all things new
Let’s Bloom Together

And to help you focus on renewal this month I’ve created PRAYER POINTS with accompanying scriptures so download them now. As always, it is my prayer that you’ve been Inspired To Live Fully!
I need renewal in understanding of my granddaughter and her activities in college. Body piercing, tattoos, and sexual acts.
While you may never understand you can always stand in the gap and pray God’s truth over her life! She was created for good works in Christ Jesus. She will honor her temple and present it as a living sacrifice.
